An introduction to Medieval Japan
Medieval Japan (1185-1600), was a huge discovery for the Portugese traders. No names have been known of the Portugese men who found Japan, however. The Portugese found the Japanese interesting. They had never seen anybody like the Japanese. They were intrigued , and they watched the Japanese culture carefully. The feudal system was remarkably similar to the Europeans. Both had layers of society which were poor, and the upper layers being richer than the lower classes.
